1. Who We Are

Tended is a personal maintenance tracker for iOS, developed and published by Mintbyte, a solopreneur software studio operated by Ilya Subbotin ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the Tended application ("the App") handles information when you use it.

By downloading or using Tended, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect no personal information. The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other identifying information. There are no user accounts.

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using Apple's standard on-device storage systems (SwiftData and UserDefaults):

• Task completion history. Records of which maintenance tasks you have marked as done and when, used to calculate how current each task is. A maximum of six entries per task are retained.
• Task preferences. Your per-task settings, such as customised intervals or whether a task is hidden.
• App preferences. General settings including onboarding status, selected categories of interest, and recommendation display timestamps.
• Purchase status. A flag indicating whether you have unlocked the full catalog, stored locally to avoid prompting you to purchase again.

None of this data is ever transmitted to us or any third party. It exists solely on your device to make the App function.

3. Anonymous Usage Analytics

To improve the app and its catalog, we collect anonymous usage analytics. This includes:

• Product interaction data. Such as which screens you visit, which features you use, and general navigation patterns within the App.
• Diagnostic data. Such as crash reports, app launch times, and performance metrics that help us identify and fix technical issues.
• Anonymous installation identifier. A randomly generated ID that helps us understand how many people use the App and how often. This ID is not linked to your identity and is reset if you reinstall the App.

This data is collected using a third-party analytics service. It is anonymous, never linked to your identity, and used solely to improve Tended. We do not use it for advertising or sell it to anyone.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, Tended does not collect or use:

• Your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers
• Advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA)
• Location data
• Contacts, calendar, photos, or any other device content
• The content of your task history or what you have marked as done — that stays on your device

5. Purchases and Payments

Tended offers an optional annual subscription to unlock the full catalog of 170+ items. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We never see, receive, or store your payment card information, billing address, or any financial details.

6. Data Sharing

Your personal data — task history, preferences, and everything you do inside the App — is never shared with anyone. It stays on your device.

Anonymous usage analytics are processed by a third-party analytics service to help us understand how the App is used and where it can be improved. This data contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you.

Purchase processing is handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit infrastructure, governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

All personal data the App stores is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. You can delete all personal data at any time simply by deleting the App from your device. Anonymous analytics data that has already been collected cannot be linked back to you or your device.

If you use iCloud backup, your device backup may include App data as part of Apple's standard backup process. This is controlled by your iCloud settings and governed by Apple's privacy policy.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13, or under the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, it presents no particular risk to minors. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will investigate.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Because we collect no personal data, most formal data subject rights (such as access, correction, portability, or erasure requests under GDPR or CCPA) are satisfied by default — there is simply nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end.

10. Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data is primarily protected by your device's own security features, including passcode, Face ID, and Touch ID. We encourage you to use a strong device passcode and keep your operating system up to date.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
